Tee Shot

Golf Instruction - Square Face - You'll disagree until you try it.

However, one minor revision that Johnny Miller teaches is to cock the hands on the backswing and keep the right elbow close to the hip. While for younger players, back swing is done by stretching the arms fully to make a wide arc as you bring down the club towards the downswing. Cocking the club will come later, as compared to the senior where cocking comes earlier.

Those people somewhere who make golf clubs has a goal in life: to create golf clubs that maximize the physics of a golfer s swing while allowing for a range of swing error to provide an accurate, yet forgiving shot. The better swing you have, of course, the less forgiving club you require. Okay, so golf association rules state that you can have no more than fourteen clubs in your bag, one of which has to be a putter.

Again, there are many shapes of the wedge head; this is because each head may have a different function than the other. Driver The driver is mostly made of wood; the popular use of the driver is on the tee. You may find it difficult to use the driver on the tee but you may practice your swing and later on, you will be comfortable.

The above are general rules and golf associations follow them. Other golf associations employ minor revisions to the golfing rules but the above rules are always part of them. The rules however are not enough if you cannot follow the ethical rules on the green. Golf etiquette - Respect other players, as you wish to be respected.

Getting the basics right and perfecting it, in my opinion is what makes great golfers like Tiger Woods who they are. Tiger started playing golf at a very young age, he learnt and perfected the basics and today he is reaping the benefits. Learning and perfecting the basics helps you to really know the game and be a great player.

The alignment, stance and grip will define this moment and thus, the result of the swing. There are three phases of downswing, which happens in less than a second. The phases are shifting from the backswing, rotating and finally hitting the ball. Upon impact will you only know if you did the swing right or failed in your attempt.
