Tee Shot

Kendra Vallone Presents: Ben Hogan's Five Lessons:

Proper equipment One equipment you need to be comfortable with is your golf club. Do you wonder why a golf bag contains numerous golf clubs? This is not only to give the caddy a job; it is because in one single game, you will need all the different kinds of golf club. Types of golf club necessary to play a golf game are the putter, iron, wood, wedge and the driver.

Let these rules guide you and enjoy playing this relaxing game on the green, in the bunker and even on the water hazard. Golf Rules - Follow the equipment rules; depending on the tournament you are joining, you will need to bring the proper gear before you will be allowed to play. - Players should play the ball right in the position where it rested after a stroke.

Golf shoes and golf gloves are usually up to the player but you should check before arriving empty handed. Be sure to have extra loose bills on you for tipping purposes. Course - These beautiful courses don t deserve you coming in and being all rough and rude to it. Follow the rules of the golf cart.

Woods There are three woods that golfers need: the 1-driver, 3 and 5. The wood is a hollow-bodied large headed club. These clubs are used when you are 175 yards or more away from the green, specifically off the tee. Irons A standard set of irons consists of: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Irons are typically used when you are 200 yards or less from the green.

The popularity of golf carts is quite profound with players living in a retirement community especially one with a golf course. In such communities, golf players simply drive their golf carts down the street straight to the club house and onto the golf course, saving time and labor. In such cases, golfers make their golf carts road worthy by outfitting them with necessary accessories and equipments.

You must be confident in your game, believe in yourself and refuse to be intimidated by others. You are all playing on the same course with the same kind of clubs, it s just in getting the ball into the hole as quick as you can with less attempts. Refuse to see the others, see yourself as having a good time and you will be pleasantly surprised how easy it is to beat those you think are too good for you to play against.
